Children's author, Jefferson Knapp, will visit Burwell Elementary School on Tuesday, November 4th at 1:30 pm to encourage young readers. Having grown up as a Kansas country boy in the early 80's, children will learn how Jefferson combined his boyhood home, surroundings, and pets with his imagination to create the world of his AR-approved six-book fantasy series, The Kingdom at the End of the Driveway. He hopes to encourage students to read, use their imagination, and dream big!
We are excited to have Mr. Knapp at our school. Students will have the opportunity to pre-order books by Mr. Knapp for discounted, autographed copies. A pre-order sheet and more information will be sent home with BES students soon!
