After three decades without renovations, the Burwell Calamus Kids Preschool building has received a much-needed facelift. The project included installing new siding and modern kitchen cabinets, giving the facility a fresh, updated look while improving functionality.
These upgrades not only enhance the building’s curb appeal but also create a safer, more welcoming space for children and staff. With this investment, the preschool is better prepared to serve local families for the next generation and beyond.
Anne Kelley, who has taught at Calamus Kids for twenty-eight years, says that the renovations were much needed. Anne says that the building has a much more modern and inviting feel. “Now we have a much more put together facility to serve children and families,” Anne says.
Burwell Calamus Kids Preschool operates through a partnership between Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership Head Start and Burwell Public Schools.
