Burwell Public Schools have adapted new protocols regarding COVID-19. These changes were prompted by changes made by the CDC. Please contact BPS administration with any questions regarding these protocols.
TEST POSITIVE
Burwell Public Schools requires that you stay home for five days (day zero is day of positive test or day of first symptom). May return to work or school on day 6 only if you are symptom free. It is highly recommended that you wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.
HOUSEHOLD EXPOSURE
Unvaccinated - Burwell Public Schools requires that you stay home for 5 days and may return to work or school on day 6. We recommend that you wear a mask for 5 additional days
Vaccinated - Burwell Public Schools recommends that you wear a mask at work or school for 5 days. If you begin to experience symptoms, we recommend that you stay home for five days from the first symptom onset.
NON HOUSEHOLD EXPOSURES
Burwell Public Schools highly recommend that you wear a mask at work or school for 5 days and monitor symptoms.
EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS
Burwell Public Schools requires you to stay home until you are symptom free without medication for 24 hours.
