Humanities Nebraska Speaker Will Help BHS Celebrate National Library Month

April 15, 2019

Nancy B. Johnson will present a program titled, “Wright Morris: Small Town Life through the Eyes of a Nebraska Writer” on Monday, April 22nd at 1:30 pm in the Burwell High School Library. This presentation is made possible by Humanities Nebraska, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and Burwell High School.

Wright Morris was a famed Nebraska author from Central City, Nebraska. He wrote many novels, poetry and short stories and was the recipient of the National Book Award for Fiction.

The public is invited to join the junior and senior classes as they hear Ms. Johnson speak about Wright Morris and his experiences in Nebraska. This program is a celebration of National Library Month which continues through the month of April.
