Locally Raised Beef Program Kick-off Event!
On Tuesday, January 9th, Burwell Public Schools will kick-off their new locally raised beef program. The event is sponsored by the Nebraska Cattleman's Association and representatives from the organization will be on hand to help celebrate the inclusion of locally raised and donated beef into the school lunch program. Local producers who have committed to donating to the program will also be in attendance. Larry Donner will be grilling locally raised burgers for the students and guests. The menu will also include french fries, cooked carrots, apples, pears, salad bar and milk.
