Burwell High School hosted their 2025 Cross Country Invite on Thursday, August 28th at the Calamus Golf Course near town. Members of the school, community, and golf course staff helped to host a successful meet. The Invite was the first of the season for the Burwell squad and they fielded boys and girls in the Jr. High and High School divisions.
The Girls High School team finished in first place with Jalise coming in 2nd, Lena finishing in 3rd and Boston finishing 17th. In the Boys High School division, JJ was 9th, Michael was 20th, and Sully was close behind in 21st place. Two Junior High runners competed for the Longhorns. Fin placed 14th for the boys Jr. High squad, and Charlotte crossed the line in 14th place for the Jr. High girls.
It was a beautiful day for the meet and a successful start to the season for the Longhorns!
