Mrs. Weber’s Innovative Technology students were able to take a short drive to Ord on Wednesday, February 5th to visit Quiz Graphic Arts, Inc. Quiz staff members, Christina and Lex, took the students on a full tour of the facility which offers screen printing services and custom paper printing services and also publishes “The Ord Quiz,” a weekly local newspaper.
The students were really interested to see all that goes into the screen printing process as they toured that part of the business. They were also able to see many samples of previous paper projects and the business’s inventory of supplies. The students were also able to see some of the specialty equipment that the Quiz uses to provide the community with custom products. The tour of the Quiz Graphic Arts location was a wonderful experience and everyone agreed that it seemed like a fun work environment.
The Innovative Technology students at BHS design and create small items for their “Longhorn Spirit Shop” so they were thrilled to receive some tips from the Quiz staff. The two groups are looking forward to collaborating in the future.
