Burwell Public Schools is proud to announce that this semester the following businesses are sponsoring students in either a work release program or a job training experience: Pizza Palace, Trotters Feed, Burwell Public Schools, Sandhills 1st Steps, Calamus Kids Preschool, Dry Creek Western Wear, Ord Locker, Shurfine Food Center, Burwell Vet Clinic, Seidel Construction, G1 Electric, Burwell Floral, HannateXstyles, Tractor Supply, Schneider Parts, Loup Basin Public Health Department, Thoene Farm Service, Carhart Lumber, Circle B, and Michele Hair Studio.
Work opportunities are intended to ensure that students gain the skills and competencies needed to achieve his or her desired post-school goals. School to work programs are a part of an effective transition plan for our students and we want to say thank you to those businesses in our community that are willing to support Burwell students with employment and independent living skills. Students are rated by their employers on such traits as: ability to follow directions, flexibility, self-confidence, courtesy, and punctuality.
