On Tuesday, October 10th students from Burwell Jr Sr High School attended the Spalding Academy Jr High Scholastic Contest and Quiz Bowl competition. Students competed against 13 other area schools. The Quiz Bowl team of Burwell eighth graders Teague Stout, Axel Smith, and Owen Stevenson started off strong by winning their first three rounds, but then lost the next two rounds in the double elimination contest. Students who placed in the Scholastic Contest were Jackson Joy - 3rd in 7th grade Social Studies, Hudson Redman - 4th in 7th grade Math, and Cole Williams - 4th in 8th grade Social Studies. Other students who participated were Tucker Hasenauer, JJ Maynard, Cort Hicks, Eli Cox, Sullivan Trausch, and Reid Buss.
