Launch the media gallery 1 player5th Grader Wins "Name A Snowplow Contest"

Recently, Mrs. Swett's 5th grade class at Burwell Elementary participated in the Nebraska Department of Transportation "Name a Snowplow" contest.
Landen Wegener won the contest out of almost 700 entries! Landen received a mini snowplow with the winning name, "Plowabunga", a dump truck, and candy to share with his class. The "Plowabunga" snow plow will receive a sticker with its new name, and NDOT's plow tracker website, https://plows.nebraska.gov/, will be updated to show its name and location in real time. "Plowabunga" is amongst one of the 16 snow plows named and is also one of the 600 snowplows that clear over 10,000 miles of roads in Nebraska. Be on the lookout for "Plowabunga" in our area as winter approaches us! Congratulations Landen!
