Each year the Nebraska Department of Education collects data of each school in the state. Every school building and district in the state receives a rating: Needs Improvement, Good, Great or Excellent. Schools with in the Burwell Public Schools district were rated as follows:
Burwell Elementary-Great
Burwell Middle School-Great
Burwell High School-Great
Burwell School District-Great
Ratings are based on student test scores on the state
tests(English/Language Arts and Mathematics Proficiency), Science
Proficiency Status, Student Score Growth and Improvement, chronic
absenteeism reduction, attendance, graduation rates and factors.
